    • Academic Skills Addressed:  Primesclubjustifications.doc
    • The chess club meets in 411 every Tuesday from 2:15 to 3:30.  Players of all ability levels are welcome, from casual players to those interested in competing.   We also have a competitive team that plays against other high schools for interested students.
    • The Game Club  meets in 441 (Yes, a different room, not a typo) every Wednesday from 2:15 to 3:00.  Students may bring any kind of games they are interested in to play with others.  Hand held games and video games are also welcome.  Gaming consoles can be brought to 411 in the morning for safe, locked storage during the day.  Any games rated below M-13 are welcome.  Friendly game tournaments are held depending on interest.
      • Some current favorite games within the club include Chess, Magic:  The Gathering, and Yugioh.

  • Physics link:  MIT has a selection of "Open Courseware."  These are courses (in a variety of disciplines, not just physics) that have been recorded or have supplemental information available online.  Some of the information, especially in some of the math and science courses, is very advanced and may lead to confusion or panic for some of my high school students.  On the other hand, they can be very engaging and informative if you understand that YOU MAY NOT YET UNDERSTAND EVERYTHING THE PROFESSOR HAS TO SAY.  If you are curious, check it out.  If you are feeling overwhelmed as is, this may not be the resource for you.   You may also wish to check out some of the other course disciplines like the humanities, health science, or art and media courses.  MIT - Open Courseware - Physics
  • A site with mp3 player downloads of course notes.  Unfortunately, there are no Physics or Mathematics notes, but there are notes for other types of courses:  Vango Notes
